The Top-of-the-Falls Hike in Murchison Falls National Park takes you to the very summit of one of Africa’s most spectacular waterfalls. It’s a thrilling blend of dramatic scenery, physical exhilaration, and unforgettable Nile views—rewarding you with the roar and spray of the falls from above.
A moderate yet exciting guided hike that begins at the riverbank and climbs to the rim of the gorge. You’ll trek along rugged trails, partly on flat terrain and partly on uneven paths and stairways carved into rock, until you stand beside the thunderous water as it plunges into the chasm below. The hike usually lasts 1–1.5 hours each way and is often paired with the boat safari to and from the base.
