The Kampala Cooking Class offers an immersive dive into Uganda’s vibrant food culture. Join a local host in their home kitchen and discover how to prepare traditional dishes from scratch. From bustling market stalls to shared meals, it’s a delicious blend of culinary skill, cultural exchange, and genuine hospitality.
This half-day, small-group experience (4–6 hours) begins with a visit to a lively Kampala market. You'll shop for fresh, seasonal produce—plantains, cassava, greens, spices—then return to the host’s home for an interactive, hands-on cooking session. Meals prepared may include matooke (steamed green bananas), luwombo (stew wrapped in banana leaves), rolex (chapati wrap), and local vegetable or groundnut sauces.
