You are probably aware of this already but going on safari is not like any other holiday you may have taken…it’s really not. So if you like to know what to expect on safari, then let’s take a look at what lies ahead. You can expect:
African hospitality is second to none!
A typical safari day begins by waking up early morning (around 6 A.M.). Take hot shower and head to take your breakfast before starting morning game drive.
During Safari don’t forget to keep your camera handy at all times – you never know when you will spot game wandering.
Keep in mind your day is always flexible. If you are not keen on early mornings or prefer to spend a whole day on safari making stops for picnic lunches in the bush, then you’re in luck! The friendly staff will always arrange your schedule with you the night prior to ensure you enjoy your stay. After all, it is your African safari!
In the morning you will be collected from your lodge in Arusha by our personal safari guide. We set out for Tarangire National Park on a good tarmac road across gently rolling Maasai plains with scattered acacia trees. As we zip along we pass many Maasai in their colorful dress walking on the roadside, riding bicycles, herding cattle, and driving donkey’s carts. Tarangire National Park, well known for its large elephant herds, is also host to a multitude of other creatures. From the open roof of our state of the art safari jeep, we experience the seasonal swamps, savanna, and life-giving Tarangire River endeavoring to encounter a multitude of creatures from zebra to wildebeest, buffalo, elephant, and giraffe, to name but a few.
After a full day in the park we will drive to the excellently appointed lodge where we enjoy dinner in the aesthetically delightful restaurant, relax, and spend the night in her capacious rooms.

Rise and shine! On this day, after breakfast, we drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a small but diverse park 120km west of Arusha. The park’s namesake, a shallow salt lake, covers some seventy percent of the parklands, floods, and drys with the seasons, and is home to thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species. On our exploration of the park we will see monkeys, giraffes, zebra, wildebeests, buffalo, elephants, and with some luck, lions lounging in the trees. After an extensive game drive and a picnic lunch in the crater, you will return to Arusha, where you will arrive in the early evening.
