Before You Travel – Msangai Adventure Safaris

Bringing amazing wildlife experiences

Before You Travel

Before embarking on your Tanzanian adventure, ensure your passport is valid for at least six months with a blank page for entry stamps. Secure your visa in advance or upon arrival, and check entry requirements if transiting through Kenya. We highly recommend travel insurance for added security. Stay informed about health precautions, including vaccinations for COVID-19, malaria, and yellow fever. Consult your doctor for any additional recommended vaccinations.

Passport

  • All travelers to Tanzania must have a passport valid for at least six months from their arrival date.
  • Your passport must have at least one completely blank page (excluding endorsement pages).
  • Entry may be denied if these conditions are not met.

Visas

  • Most travelers require a visa to enter Tanzania.
  • We strongly recommend applying for an e-visa here before your trip, as processing may take 2 to 3 weeks.
  • Some nationalities can obtain a visa on arrival for $50 USD at major entry points.
  • American passport holders require a multiple-entry visa ($100 USD).
  • Please check the visa requirements for your nationality before departure.

Transiting through Kenya

  • Kenya entry visas are issued exclusively online.
  • If your journey includes a stopover in Kenya, you must obtain an e-visa before departure here and carry a printed copy to present upon arrival.

Travel Insurance

  • For peace of mind, we highly recommend securing comprehensive travel insurance, as Msangai Adventure is not responsible for unforeseen trip cancellations, delays, or interruptions.
  • For emergency assistance, we suggest using Global Rescue services.
  • Please note that Global Rescue is an independent provider, and Msangai Adventure is not liable for their services.

Health Requirements

COVID-19

  • While there are no mandatory COVID-19 vaccination or test requirements for travelers entering mainland Tanzania or Zanzibar, we recommend being fully vaccinated.
  • Some travelers have reported being asked for proof of vaccination or a negative test upon arrival, depending on airline or transit country requirements.

Malaria

  • Tanzania, including areas where Msangai Adventure operates, is a malaria-risk zone.
  • We advise consulting a doctor for preventive measures and necessary medications before your visit.

Yellow Fever

  • A valid yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for travelers arriving from yellow fever risk countries, including Kenya.
  • Although Rwanda is now classified as low-risk, carrying a certificate is still advised if traveling through Rwanda.

Other Vaccinations

  • For additional health protection, consult your doctor or a travel clinic before your journey to discuss recommended vaccinations for travel in Tanzania.

Thank you for choosing Msangai Adventure. We look forward to providing you with an unforgettable experience!
